If I had the option I might pay for no ads.. but then I would probably want a new tab or icon or something where I could watch a feed of just ads on occasion.

If I was a premium subscriber I'd want more control over turning off certain types of ads from the feed..

But I actually find the ads in my feed more interesting than the 'non-ads' - 9 scrolls out of 10... and I find interesting products/services I would not find otherwise..

I would love to separate the ads from the main feed, and of course add my own weights to the feed algo -

I'm sure all this is partially because I don't find my fbook friends posts interesting at all 99% of time, and since I make ads, I like to see how other people make ads - so outlier I'm sure

Not that I care much about Meta or other Socials, but would they also stop data collection and tracking for paying customers?

So do I then get a chronological timeline of the people I actually follow or will they still force their curated stream down my throat?

Basically the same as advertising IMO...

If they do not track me, and offer iron-clad, actionable guarantees for violations, I might consider it.

” Max Schrems, Chair of noyb: "The first announcement already seems questionable, as Meta says that you cannot opt-out from having your location or age be used. Also having unskippable ads and making the user experience just miserable is just another 'dark pattern' that Regulators have already previously found to be illegal. We doubt that this will be the end of the problems that Meta faces when ignoring the GDPR.” :
